Pastor's Corner

Let me share
with you my prayerful hopes and dreams for our church.
First, a church where, above anything else, people are treated with unconditional positive regard. In other words, each person is treated as the sacred and special child of God that they truly are. They are valued not for how they perform, not for their success, but simply because they are—”Just As I Am.”
Second, a place where people learn about how much they are valued and loved by God, Unconditionally loved! Through the message, the music, the greeting time, the fellowship—just by walking in the door—they will encounter that love by the presence of the Holy Spirit in this place and in us.
My dream, which I strongly believe is from God, is that this will be a place for all of God’s (prodigal) children, a place where they will be surrounded by the unconditional love of God and be transformed by it, just as Zaccheus was. I have experienced that love.
I would not have survived without it, and God has clearly called me to treat others in the same way He treated me.
I believe God is going to touch hundreds through such a ministry. Some will come by God’s providence, some will come by our loving invitation, some will be touched even though they never enter the physical building. Then, through Bible study, small spiritual-growth groups, informal discipling, and mentoring, we (“prodigals”) will learn through God’s Word what it means to be members of His household, as in our study of the book of Ephesians. We see in His Word that God has provided to us “everything we need for life and godliness” (II Peter 1:3 NASB), that He will “meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Jesus Christ” (Philippians 4:19 NASB)), and that we will succeed in God’s very best for us. “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6 (NASB)
And in all of this we will so love one another that all people will know that we are His disciples.
We sincerely invite you to join us on this wonderful journey with the Lord Jesus Christ.
